Conclusion

In conclusion, it is important to identify and allocate of object material inside a wall,

columns and floors. This can prevent damages done to those sensitive material inside the
structure but could possibly help to save cost of further reparation if any accidental error or
mistaken done to building material inside it.

In this experiment, we are require to detect the location of embedded reinforcement in

a RC structure, to estimate the depth to reinforcement embedded in a RC structure and to
estimate the spacing if reinforcement in RC structure using BOSCH D-tect 150 Professional
instruments. After detected allocate of all the horizontal and vertical steel bar inside the wall
of 1m x 1m and sketch it for result. We are able to know the spacing between bar and depth of
reinforcement in the wall.

There are precautions needed to be taken when conducting the experiment. Protect the
measuring tool against moisture and direct sun light. Do not subject the measuring tool to
extreme temperatures or variations in temperature. In case of large variations in temperature,
allow the measuring tool to adjust to the ambient temperature before switching it on. In case of
extreme temperatures or variations in temperature, the accuracy of the measuring tool and the
display indication can be impaired. Do not attach any stickers or name-plates to the sensor area
9 on the back of the measuring tool. Especially metal name-plates affect the measuring results.
