Course outcome
· Students are able to design matching network based on lumped or distributed components
· Students are able to design single stage and multiple stage microwave amplifiers
· Students are able to design low noise microwave amplifiers
· Students are able to design microwave amplifiers by trading off between amplifier parameters
noise figure, gain, VSWR.

Gain design (Transducer gain, power gain, available gain)

Stability theory and design for microwave amplifiers
Design examples trade off gain for stability
Week 9
Noise in microwave amplifiers

Design examples trade off between gain noise figure and stability
Introduction to CAD design

Homework: Homework is assigned every week, and they are due one week from the assigned day.
Homework will be collected at the beginning of the class. Homework will be returned in class.
