If the UN took control over the oceans, there is need to take several steps to improve the

conditions of the oceans including;

 Pass and implement laws and regulations on fishing especially the nets used

 Discourage missile testing activities in the oceans

 Enact measures especially of farming to reduce Eutrophication in oceans

 Protect the endangered marine organisms.

 Protect the EEZ areas.

Sustainability and equal access of the resource could be reached through;

 Providing incentives to fishermen especially on the nets and fishing boats required.

 Education to the fishermen as well as farmers in the coastal areas.

 Re-afforestation and afforestation of coastal areas so as to provide shades for marine

organisms and lower coastal erosion.

 Schedule beach visit hours so as to allow recreation/renewal of the beaches

Oceans

United Nations will resolve to come up with the law of the Sea or Ocean that will address

the inadequate provisions for the conservation and also sustainable use of marine biodiversity

and that will focus on regions or areas beyond national jurisdiction. In addition, UN will develop

strong mechanism that will provide protection and sustainable management of marine resources
on the high seas and oceans. United Nations will put in place legal instruments that will

accomplish on high seas the marine protected areas. They will put in place legal mechanism and

take control of managing fisheries and regulating human activities for instance shipping.

To provide equal access and have a sustainable use of the ocean as the resource, there is a

need to protect forage fish, conserve habitat, minimize waste, act with precaution, and starting

fishery ecosystem planning
