All lesson developers use “our” lesson.
All observers who did not contribute to the development of the lesson refer to “your” (plural) lesson.
Presenting teacher goes first.
The facilitator publicly records responses to questions with “sign off” from team members to ensure the
responses are accurately recorded. And, facilitator will follow up by sending a transcript of recorded
responses to the team.
Question 2: What guided our decisions in planning the lesson the way we did?
Question 3: How did the lesson as it was carried out compare with what we
planned?
Look at lesson objectives, materials, structure, time, checking for understanding/assessment,
student response, etc.
Question 5: What might be some possible reasons for the things we’re seeing in
the data?
Question 6: In what ways did our lesson promote student learning and
development?
Question 7: Based on this lesson, what is our initial response to our research
question?
Question 8: What is especially powerful about this lesson?
