1.
Activate the function 'Parts list' (Toolbar Electro).
2. Activate the setting 'Entire drawing' to choose the fittings of the entire drawing.
11 External references
Here you will learn how to integrate external references.
1. At the first step extract all several planviews from the main drawing and save
them as independent drawings.
4. Mark the entire planview, click the right mouse button and choose the option
'Copy with base point'.
ATTENTION!
The storeys have to be positioned correctly superposed. Therfor you have to search a
adjustment point which is obvious in all drawings.
(e.g.: Axis intersection points, Shafts, Elevator...)
6. Create a new drawing and insert the copied planview with the right mouse
button and 'Paste'.
To determine the insertion point enter '0,0,0' in the comand bar and confirm
with Return.
Create a new sub directory with the name 'Plans' in directory
'C:\Programs\AX3000\K_Data\DWG' and save your new created drawing
under the name BF.dwg
7. Repeat the explained process for the following storeys of the drawing
Demoplan.dwg:
ATTENTION!
At the sections the zero point have to be defined at the intersection point of the
axis A and at floor height '0'.
Create a new layer for each XRef and put each XRef on another layer to fade
them in and out comfortable.
If you start the layer names with underline (e.g.: _GF) they will be sorted and
placed at the start.
In our example you can check the heights in the drawing Section A-A.dwg.
3. In the next dialog keep care to set 'No path' as path type and enter the Z-
coordinate of the Insertion point corresponding to the heights in the drawing
Section A-A.dwg. (Attention: Mind the Dimension unit!)
4. Repeat this steps for the following further planviews in the directory plans:
GF.dwg
1stUF.dwg
2ndUF.dwg
3rdUF.dwg
4thUF.dwg
Save the so created drawing under a new name e.g. HVAC.dwg in the directory
plans.
ATTENTION!
HINT:
Create a new layer for each XRef and put each XRef on another layer to fade
them in and out comfortable.
If you start the layer names with underline (e.g.: _GF) they will be sorted and
placed at the start.
3. Keep care to enter 'no path' as path type in the next dialog.
7. Keep care to enter 'no path' as path type in the next dialog.
Fade out all trades and sections which should not be shown.
But with this solution you have to freeze / unfreeze different layers continuous.
The second solution which you can use is to define the visible section over the
clip planes.
In the model section one clip plane per viewing window is viewable.
With the layouts you have the possibility to create a separate layout for the
particular storey.
Afterwards you can plot this layout directly.
For our example we have to create a layout per storey and section.
In these layouts only the defined height- or depth section is visible.
The model section can be used for the entire overview of all storeys.
With the layouts you can work in the model section also, so the workflow
is much easier.
Furthermore additional views and isometrics can be created in the layout
always.
1. Change to Layout1.
2. Variant 1:
Attention!
The clip function will only be shown graphically if these both buttons are
activated.
If no changes on the drawing appear one of these buttons is not activated.
To move the foreside and posterior section level together click onto the
button and move the green and the black line together.
In AutoCAD 2005 you can move the view with the Icon or by pressing the
middle mouse button.
You can zoom in and out the view with the Icon or by scrolling with the
scroll dial.
Now you can position the green line in that kind that it is marginal over the
basement (on our view below is above and above is below so the green line
symbolizes the below level and we want to see below the floor of the basement.
(e.g.: to see the heating pipes in the floor)
and the black line marginal over the ground floor.
(So we are able to see all marginal things below the ceiling of the basement
e.g.: Ventilation ducts).
ATTENTION!
When you exit the function clip planes the function 3D orbit is active.
Exit this function also with 'ESC' to continue correctly.
Variant 2:
Attention:
The foreside and the posterior section area will be entered relative to the target
height therfor Target Z have to be set to 0.
ATTENTION!
When you exit the function clip planes the function 3D orbit is active.
Exit this function also with 'ESC' to continue correctly.
3. Hint:
To remove maybe disturbing layers of the sections you have to freeze them with
the function 'Freeze in actual viewing window' (Layer management).
With this function the layer will be faded out in the actual view only but it still
will
remain faded in in all other views and the model section.
4. Afterwards the scale for the actual viewing window can be defined naturally
and you can lock the viewing window. So all settings are locked and you can not
change them anymore.
Attention:
You have to unlock the locked viewing window for additional changes.
5. Repeat these steps to create a further view for the viewing of another storey or
to create one or more views for (a) storey(s) in a new layout.
Hint:
When the viewing windows are locked you are able to work in the now height
limited defined layouts very comfortable and clearly.
It is important to change only from the layout into the model section.
