Turistic places of Guayaquil

Malecon Simón Bolívar


It is the favorite place for its location next to the Guayas River. The Malecon 2000 is
one of the icons of the city. In addition to a place to walk, this area is used to exercise or
simply to sit on a bench to rest and enjoy contemplating the Guayas River.

Seminar Park
Local and foreign visitors are attracted by the large number of iguanas that have been
nicknamed the Iguanas Park.
It is located between Chimborazo and 10 de Agosto Street. This is perhaps one of the
main tourist attractions in downtown Guayaquil.

Guayaquil Historical Park


It was built by the Central Bank of Ecuador in 1997 on the banks of the river Daule is a
theme park of 8 hectares of educational, cultural, environmental, recreational and tourist
nature whose purpose is to expose the history and culture of the former Province of
Guayaquil that arose at the end of the colonial era and beginnings of the Republican life
of Ecuador

Malecón del Salado


This project inaugurated in 2009 boosted tourism in the area. It goes from Rodolfo
Baquerizo Square to the Sailboat Bridge. It is part of the urban regeneration that
includes the University Malecon, Linear Park, Pedestrian Crossing, Sailboat Bridge and
the Suburban Malecon. But to the areas of walk, rest and meeting (restaurants and bars)
was added a little less than two years ago an additional that today attracts thousands of
tourists.

Santa Ana Hill


At the Julian festivities, hundreds of tourists climb the 444 steps to reach the lighthouse
and the chapel of the Virgen de las Mercedes.
Santay Island
It is a little island that is located on Eloy Alfaro and la Ría street. There is the possibility
of reaching Santay Island on foot or by bicycle, through the new pedestrian bridge.

Las Peñas neighborhood


Its main characteristic is the colonial style of its houses where the city was born, it
enchants to the visitors who cross the street Numa Pompilio Llona. In several of the old
