Subject: Application for the permission of 2nd Deferment of registration for one semester.
(Deferment: From September 2017 to February 2018)

Dear Sir,
With due respect and honor, I would like to state that, I am Ahmed Al Mansur, accepted for
admission as a full-time PhD (research) Student under the supervisors: Professor Dr. Saad
Mekhilef (Aspect: Power Electronics) and Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Hazlie Mokhlis (Aspect:
Power System), Faculty of Engineering.

I have received the offer letter dated on 27.10.2016. After that, I have contact with my
supervisor for the availability of Research Assistant ship and he suggests me to start from the
next September 2017 session due to the unavailability of fund in the February 2017 session.
Therefore, I applied for 1st deferment and received the deferment letter on 21.02.2017. At
present, due to some financial crisis and my personal obligations, I am not able to get
registration in September 2017 session. Now, I am applying for the 2nd deferment of
registration from September 2017 to February 2018.

In these circumstances, I am requesting for the permission to postpone my admission

registration for another one semester and allow me for the registration in the February
Semester 2018.

I therefore, pray and hope that, you would be kind enough to grant my application by giving
permission to registration in the next semester February 2018 and oblige thereby.
