COURSE REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULE
OF PH.D/M.SC./M. ENGG PROGRAMME
SESSION: OCTOBER-2015

1. Students are requested to complete their Course registration for Ph.D/M.Sc./M.

Engg Programme from 04 October 2015 to 15 October 2015. Full time students must
register for a minimum of 12 credit hours (4 courses-Including Thesis) and a maximum of
15 credit hours (5 courses-Including Thesis) per semester. A part time student may be
assigned a minimum of 3 credit hours (1 course-Including Thesis) to a maximum of 9 credit
hours (3 courses-Including Thesis). No late registration will be allowed after 15 October
2015. Students failing to register in time will be charged an extra amount of late
registration fee of Tk. 1000.00 (One thousand) only.

3. For the degree of M.Sc. Engg. a student has to take a minimum of 6 (six) courses of
which 3 (three) are from his/her assigned Division, and remaining 3 (three) are from the
Interdisciplinary group or any Division. For the degree of M. Engg. a student has to take a
minimum of 10 (ten) courses of which 5 (f ive) are from his/her Division and the remaining
5 (five) are from the Interdisciplinary group or any Division. The topic of the thesis (for
M. Sc.Engg .degree) / project (for M. Engg. degree) must be related to div ision of the stu-
dent or the interdisciplinary group.
4. Course registration card and the payment form are available with the MIST
Admission Section.

g. Preparatory Leave : 31 January - 04 February 2016.
h. Semester Final Examination : 07 - 25 February 2016.
j. Result Publication : 10 March 2016.
