This article is all about a recent survey of the research on cyberbullying and emphasis on
the key recommendation that can be used to develop interventions that schools can use to
prevent cyberbullying. The article specifically focusses on the role of school counselors in
providing education and training to students, parents, teachers and policymakers. The article
provides various ways for cyber victims to fight against the crime. In understanding the
psychology of cyberbullying, it is essential to figure out these targeted strategies.

Australian Journal of Guidance & Counselling 20.2 (2010): 210-24.

The authors of this paper take a complete look at the issue of cyberbullying and explore
the role of revenge and punishment as possible motivational factors causing bully to deceive
their targets. Their research study inspected surveys of 473 students to determine how bullies
chose their victim as well as analyze the characteristics that were familiar among those who
chose to cyberbully. This article not only point out traits that are essential in many bullies, it
also points to the most common traits of their intended victims.

People. Educational Psychology in Practice, 28(2), 141-157.

This article provides a complete overview of the problem of cyberbullying but targeting
it from more of a psychological point of view. Precisely, the authors look at origin for
cyberbullying behaviour and the effects it has on the victim. The author has benefited the
study with the participation of the children and young people as researchers to understand
deeply about the problem. The authors even use the questionnaires along with the surveys
of 365 students of UK of years 7, 8 and to gain further knowledge and support the study.
With the results obtained he concluded that bullying is entering the digital era and to prevent
and help the children, young people and even themselves, the professionals and the adults
need adequate knowledge and skills about the subject.

These articles will help in my research as they will help me understanding the concept
of bullying and their forms and why there is need to concern for the topic, consequences
and effective ways to prevent themselves. It will also help readers to understand the state
of mind of bullies.
