Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to express my interest in taking part in the DAAD programmes. I am currently a fourth-year
student at University of Montenegro, Law Faculty, jurisdictional department. I have always had a deep
interest in learning foreign culture and improvement of my professional and academic skills. I think that
German culture and neat living and working enviroment can serve me to learn many great habits and
principles.

It would be an amazing opportunity to make my knowledge bigger, and to find out more about German
culture at University of Humboldt. The first time I heard someone speak German was a kid watching
German cartoons on the Satellite TV. I became enthralled by the seeming melody of the language. After
some year’s l heard some more on YouTube videos, I can tell that it’s an extremely beautiful and
complex language, and I just fell in love with the flow of the sound. Plus, it’s an uncommon and unique
language, and therefore it would be definitely a good challenge and also a pride to be able to learn it in
Germany, beside getting knowledge about law skills.

It is quite evident that there’s so much experience to gain, especially when you’re immersed in the
culture itself. Not to mention that Germany is known to have a lot of cultural festivals and operas.
There’s no doubt that this programme would be so valuable for me and for my future endeavors.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that the curricula of the programme will provide the fundamentals of the
language and law skills, which I plan to continue to improve post-returning to Montenegro.

I am confident that you will find my application as a worthwhile investment. My attendance at this
programme is a wise investment and I would highly appreciate it to be being one of the selected
participants. Since I am not in a position to finance my participation on my own I would also appreciate
to be considered for a full scholarship, since this is the only possible way for me to take part in this
programme.
