GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT PAPER
1.0 INTRODUCTION
4. The practical training session will begin after the students have
registered themselves for his/her final semester of study.
The project paper is an integral part of the BBA (Hons) degree programs
of Faculty of Business Management, and if properly chosen will serve the
following purposes:

The Head of Program will also appoint second examiner(s) to
evaluate the students’ project.
For the purpose of preparing the project paper report, a student has to
meet and discuss with his/her advisor a minimum of eight (8) times
throughout the semester.

6.14 DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS
This is the heart of the report, where students will present a critical
appraisal of what has been written before, make comparisons and
present arguments supported by his/her analysis of the results.
Student should make clear the logical steps which lead to the
conclusions he/she has drawn, and relate these conclusions to the
objectives of the project.

11. Main Body (Chapters) To be paginated beginning with 1.
Font used should not be too fancy as to complicate reading. Students are
advised to use either Times New Roman (font size - 12) or Arial (font
size – 11).
III. MARGINS
The left margin should be at least 1.5 inches (3.81cm) wide to facilitate
binding of the submitted thesis. The top, bottom and right margin
should be at least 1 inch(2.54cm) while the header and footer at least
0.5 inch (1.27cm) from the edges. These specifications are applicable to
the printed output, thus margins in the "page setup" should be adjusted
accordingly to produce the desired result.
IV. SPACING

After full stop (.) – double space before writing new
sentence.
After coma (,) – single space before writing new sentence.
(i) The paper shall not exceed 20,000 words (50 - 70 pages) in lengths
(Excluding illustrations, maps and appendices). However, the
quality of what is written is far more important than the quantity.

When the project paper is completed and the advisor approves of the final
draft, it is ready for binding. Candidates should check all copies carefully
to ensure that pages are in order.

- This copy should have a hard bound cover and the colour of the cover
will be according to the colour specified by the Head of the program.
(Please refer the list of colours attached).
b) Cover
All lettering should be in gold blocking font of 18 points (for the first copy
only).
Second and Third Copy : To be given to the advisor and 2nd examiner
respectively. These copies will be spiral bound only.
The specification for the cover of these copies should be similar to the first
copy.
VIII ASSESSMENT
The whole project will carry 100% of the total practicum assessment.
Practical training assessment will be based on supervisor’s (from the
company) and advisor’s assessment that will be indicated as either
pass or fail.
