Three Phase Transformer Guide

Three phase transformers are used to supply three phase loads and bridge high voltage systems to low voltage loads. There are two main types: single bulk transformers that can be dry or oil immersed, and transformer banks of two or more interconnected single phase transformers in delta or wye configurations. Scott Connection Transformer
Scott Connection also called T-
Connected Transformer Bank is used to
transform or convert three phase supply
into two phase supply or vice versa.
These transformers consist of two
identical single phase transformers but
with different tapping point.

Scott Connection Transformer
One has a 50% tap and the other has
86.8 % tap on their primary windings.
Basically the one with 50% tap is said to
be a teaser transformer and the one that
has an 86.6 % tap is said to be main
transformer.
