MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State University Dance Marathon (BSUDM) will host their 10th
annual dance marathon to benefit Riley Hospital for Children on Feb. 25 in the Field and Sports
“We have worked extremely hard this year to make our 10th anniversary something
memorable. I cannot wait to see how all of our hard work will come together on Saturday,” says
The 2017 marathon will include many new exciting elements such as a brand new stage
which will run the width of the field and sports room, new field games on the indoor turf and
in-event activities with prizes for participants. BSUDM has also recruited a hypnotist and a
magician to perform on the new stage in between the line dance led by the moral committee.
This year BSUDM has a goal of raising $765,000, which is $115,000 higher than the goal
from 2016. Every student that registers for the marathon has to raise at least $100 to gain
entrance. This helps to ensure that all who are in attendance do their part for the kids of Riley

fundraising and awareness effort in support of the children and families at Riley Hospital for
Children by unifying the Ball State University student body, providing a strong support system
for the kids, and celebrating hope and healing for their Riley families through the annual dance
marathon event.
