    Children’s Literature Presentation Lesson Plan

    Age of Children: 3-6 years old

    Title of Story: Little Pea

    Theme: Encouraging healthy eating

    Length of time needed for story: 5-10 minutes

    Materials:

    1. Pea
    2. Mom and dad pea
    3. Candy
    4. Students

    Curriculum Areas: This lesson plan could be taught during the beginning of the year to help the
    kids with sharing. This lesson teaches children about what sharing with your friends and using
    your manners to ask for things.

    Educational Goal: The goal of this lesson is for kids to understand what they have read and be
    able to answer the simple comprehension questions they are asked. A second goal for this
    lesson is to help kids with sharing and using their manners.

    Standard: 2.B.ECa With teacher assistance, child can ask and answer questions about books
