Performance Objective 2: Given a set of word problems involving time, students will use a highlighter to highlight start time, change of time, and end time with 80% accuracy.

Step 1: Pre-Instructional Activities Review telling time to the minute and five-minutes. Show a few times on the teacher demonstration clock and have students identify the time.

Use the resource page for lesson 2 to show students the listed word problems. In word problems involving time, we look for a start time, the change of time, and the end time. Work through the problems in Section A together with students to find the start time, change of time and end time. You and the students will highlight these specific times in word problems. Next, solve the problems together in Section B of the Teacher Resource Sheet.
