ALTER EGO

(Short film)

Treatment by:
Walter Ulloa Rodríguez
(estimated time: 2-3 minutes)
GENERAL CONSIDERATION: Subject 1 and Subject 2 are

the same person.

INT. - (6:00 am) –Long Shot: Room.

(Extreme close up inside the room)

The alarm sounds. It is six o'clock in the morning.

(Subject 1) wakes up and slowly gets up of his bed

to begging his daily routine. He opens the curtains

of the room, sees his phone on the table (he does

not take it), and he goes to the bathroom to take a

shower.

(Extreme close up inside the bathroom)

He opens the shower and the water starts to run. He

waits a moment when suddenly a slight earthquake

happens, and the lights of the bathroom turn off.

(Subject 1) seems not to care about that, so he

continues in the shower.

(Long shot with movement from the shower to the bed)

In the background we can see the same long shot that

we saw at the beginning, but now he (Subject 2) is

about to wake up because of the same earthquake.

(Sound of shower in the background)

(Detail shot of his eyes opening quickly).

(Subject 2) seems strange. He turns to see the alarm

clock, but he realizes that it is late, and his

curtains are open. He gets up, checks his phone, and

plays the music (The song sounds as a soundtrack).

He is playing the song when he hears the shower in

the background, (close-up) and he starts to walk

silently towards it. He realizes that someone is

taking a shower, so he enters to the bathroom. He

(Subject 1) hears that someone is on the other side,

and he turns off the shower quickly. (Extreme close-

ups) They approach each other, but none of them

can’t see the other one because of the shower

curtain between them. (Close-up to the hands) His

hands open the curtain with one pull.
