Introduction
“Mega Infrastructure Construction Conference 2014” was successfully held in Kaohsiung,
Taiwan in 2014. The conference attracted over 200 delegates from the Mainland, Hong Kong,
Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for participation in the event. The
delegates include members of the construction and engineering societies and institutions,
professionals and senior staffs from contractors and consultancy firms, and academicians from
universities. The conference was co‐organized by Taiwan Construction Engineering Association (社團
法人臺灣營造工程協會) and Kaohsiung Professional Civil Engineers Association (高雄市土木技師公會).
“Mega Infrastructure And Urban Development Construction Conference 2016” will be held in
Hong Kong in 2016. The Conference aims to provide a platform for experts and engineers from Asia‐
Pacific region for sharing of knowledge and experience in infrastructure and urban development
construction including bridges, tunnels, reclamation, urban construction, sustainable development
and etc. It is hoped that the Conference could help strengthening the technological exchanges and
cooperation among countries in the Asia‐Pacific region. The Conference is co‐organised by Civil and
Environmental Engineering Department, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
(HKUST), Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association (HKUST) and Civil Division of the
Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Deadline for submission of full papers 31 January 2016
Notification of acceptance of full papers 29 February 2016
Paper Presentation
- Six (6) sessions are arranged for paper presentation in the Conference. In each session, three (3)
papers will be presented and the duration of each presentation is 25 minutes. The total duration
of each session is 90 minutes including 15 minutes questions and answers (Q & A). It is estimated
that 18 papers will be presented in the Conference.
- The papers presented in the Conference will be included in the Proceedings. However, the
accepted papers but not arranged for presentation will also be included in the Proceedings.
INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
- Papers of up to 10‐page in English or Chinese must be submitted in MS Word format (version not
older than 97‐2003). The required format of the full paper is available at www.crpd‐hk.com.
- Please provide us also the brief CV of author(s) (about 50 words each) including the name of
author, affiliation, position, correspondence address, telephone no., fax no. and email address.
