vouloir conditionnel- would like to

pouvoir present- can

pouvoir conditional- could

Future and conditional have the same root

-er, -ir
root is the entire infinitive
chanter- je chanterai, etc

-re
root is infinitive minus the “e”

Le Subjonctif
 To express an obligation, wishes, emotions, or boudt in a complex sentence.
 In a conditional sentence, I would drive if I had a car. (Had is in the
subjunctive)
 Go to ils/ells present indicative and take that roots and add endings
 Manger- Ils/ells mangent (present indicative)
o Je mange
o Tu manges
o Il mange
o Nous mangions
o Vous mangiez
o Ils mangent

