What means Shipping point and Transportation Planning Point? What's the difference?
As we know, we need assign shipping point to plants. And assign Transportation Planning Point to
company code? What's relationship among them?
We create shipment based on outbound develiry or based on the shipping point or transportation
planning point? If all, How to acheive each one?

Ans: Shipping points are independent organizational entities within which processing and
monitoring of the deliveries as well as Goods issue happens

3. Plant (Either from CMR or MM)
Transportation Planning point:
Transportation planning point is responsible for planning shipments. A Shipment is assigned to one
transportation planning point. It helps in determining the responsibility of transportation Processing
during which it can be used as selection criteria.to present list of shipments... one transportation
point is assigned for sea other for land and so on....
Difference: Shipping point is used for processing deliveries, picking and PGI. Transportation
planning point is responsible for next process of deliveries that is shipments.
List of deliveries are required for shipment process. Each shipment is allocated to Transportation
planning point for transportation planning. Its an integrated process.
