This vessel uses the NAIAS BUNKERS ANALYSIS services for controlling the quality of the
bunker fuels delivers to it.. During the course of this bunkering operation a representative sample of
the delivered fuel will be collected by a drip-sampling device installed at the entry of the manifold
line in accordance with IMO Guidelines – Resolution MEPC 96(47). This sample will then be split
into four separate portions that will be sealed individually in appropriate 1-litre containers.

 One container will be forwarded to the Naias Laboratories for analysis the results of which
will be reported to the owner.

 The second container will be given to yourselves, the fuel supplier.

 The third container will be retained onboard of this vessel.

 The fourth container will be retained onboard in compliance with MARPOL 73/78,
ANNEX VI, Regulation 18 requirements and the need for compliance to MARPOL 73/78,
ANNEX VI, Regulation 18 requirements

Recognising the significance of a representative sample in this procedure we hereby request


yourselves, the fuel supplier or a representative acting on your behalf, to witness the sample taking
and sample containers sealing as well as to sing and stamp the appropriate labels of the smple
containers.
