Dear Captain,

RE: “LETTER OF PROTEST FOR BREACH OF IMO GUIDELINES FOR BUNKERING”

Further to my letter handed to you before bunkering, by which you were advised of the sampling
procedure and the sampler distribution, this is to protest and put on record following:

(a) You refused to send a representative to whitens the installation of the sampler and that the
sampling was carried out in accordance with IMO Guidelines – Resolution MEPC 96(47).

(b) You refused to witness mixing and splitting of the collected sample

(c) You refused to sign the labels of the samples.

As the above constitute breach of international regulations, I reserve the right of my principals to
refer to this letter whenever this becomes necessary.

Your sample will be retained onboard together with ship’s sample at the disposal of the Port
Authorities if need be.
