REQUIREMENTS FOR HOLOGRAPHIC WILLS

1. In writing. (Art. 804)

2. Executed in a language or dialect known to the testator. (Art. 804)

3. Entirely written by the hand of the testator himself (Art. 810)

4. Dated by the hand of the testator himself (Art. 810)

5. Signed by the hand of the testator himself (Art. 810)

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REVOCATION OF A WILL BY A SUBSEQUENT


INSTRUMENT (Art. 830)

1. The subsequent instrument must comply with the formal requirements of a will;

2. The testator must possess testamentary capacity;

3. The subsequent instrument must contain an express revocatory clause or

4. be incompatible with the prior will, in which case the subsequent wills annul only
such dispositions in the prior wills as are inconsistent with or contrary those
contained in the later wills (Art. 831); and

5. The subsequent will must also be probated.
