Nominal Group Technique – is a group process involving problem
identification, solution generation, and decision making. It can be used in groups of many sizes, who want to make their decision quickly, as by a vote, but want everyone’s opinion taken into account (as opposed to traditional voting, where only the largest group is considered). The method of tallying is the difference. The ideas are ranked after being voted by the participants. Sometimes, hybrid ideas are formed by combining 2 or more ideas given. Group Passing Technique – Each person is given a topic or a question. After that, one person will write their idea in a piece of paper and pass it to the person next to them. The recipient would then try to improve the idea written on the paper he/she received. After that, they would pass it to the person next to them again until everyone had the chance to improve and review the idea. Team Idea Mapping Method – the goal is to improve collaboration and increase quantity of ideas, and is designed so that all attendees participate and no ideas are rejected. The process begins with a well- defined topic. Each participant brainstorms individually, then all ideas given will be merged onto one large idea map. Once all the ideas are captured, the group can prioritize and take action Directed Brainstorming – in this type of technique, each group would be given a certain question or topic and a piece of paper to write the idea. After that, they would swap it randomly to the other group and the receiver would then try to revise and improve the ideas. The forms are swapped again and asked to improve the idea for 3 or more rounds.
