Launching 'Crowdsouring + Hackathon' Campaign

As part of the larger IT 2 DT program, we are striving towards spreading digitalizing


spree throughout Tech M. Leveraging IRIS (Ideate Refine Implement Succeed)– our
internal crowdsourcing ideation platform within Tech M associates to creatively identify
and visualize functional areas HR, CS, TLS which could be digitized/appified and further
use Hackathons to convert some of the ideas into reality. This will be a powerful way to
showcase our digital prowess to our customers.

IRIS is an innovative Idea generation platform that Tech Mahindra uses in order to
leverage the huge associate base against the business challenge we would put in
practice.

DigitAll – Digitalize Learning
(TLS TEAM)

Introduction -
Kodak did not keep pace with the rapid digitization of photography, traditional travel
agencies were eclipsed by online cab aggregators and online services like YouTube
and Netflix have redefined television viewing. You might have been hearing about
many more innovations and disruptive effects of digital technologies and automation on
traditional businesses and industries.

Training is no different and is poised to take advantage of these disruptive paradigms to


extend the reach and create more effective, engaging, multichannel and personalized
experiences for the learners and trainers.

What is this challenge about -


TLS is looking for ideas and POC applications designed for providing a next-gen
learning experience which will take maximum advantage of digital technologies and
automation. An example could be a GPS-enabled mobile application, which notifies the
associate about a training program that is either happening or scheduled at the location
he is visiting. Another example may be a platform that helps connect the associate with
other learners of a particular course and continue learning through a social learning
experience beyond the classroom or duration of the course.

Your deliverable -
You have to provide a detailed description of your idea which will enable a personalized,
effective, engaging, multichannel learning experience which will improve the outcomes
for all stakeholders, including the learners, trainers and the administrators.

Outcome of this challenge -


Winners of the ideathon challenge will see their ideas come to life with the help of
expert from TLS and Innovation teams.
DigitAll – Digitalize Cafeteria
(CS TEAM)

Introduction-

Corporate Services across all locations facilitates 24x7 Cafeteria Services. The Vendors
are identified and approved in consultation with respective Canteen Committees at each
of the locations. The Menu and rates as well are approved by the Committee.

It is our endeavor to provide as many varieties/options as possible and ensure the


services are provided in a clean and hygienic environment.

What is the challenge about -

 During peak hours – long queues/rush at various Counters.


 Table space is hard to find.
 Shortage of spoons and glasses.
 Coins and tokens – at times vendor use tokens/coupons instead of currency
while returning change.
 Wastage of food
 Pricing of food items
 Air-conditioning

Introduction -

In the world of rapid changes, the need of the hour is a digital workplace that breaks
down communication barriers, transforming the employee experience at one end and
fostering the true cultural change at the same time. Agile mechanism is needed for
accepting instant feedback, problem solving, and information sharing to forge productive
business relationships within and beyond natural work groups so as to strengthen
collaboration, co-creation and celebration at work.

What is this challenge about–

We have platforms such as MyBeat+, Freevoice, external social media etc. and forums
such as All Hands Meet, E-chats, Ask The Experts etc. where associates have the
opportunity to explore Organizational information, interact with the leadership, provide
feedback and seek answers. However, the need is to have a platform that offers real-
time connect to serve the purpose of gauging the pulse at the deepest level of the
organization, provide data-points for organization decision making in areas affecting
employee engagement and satisfaction and at the same time providing opportunity for
bottom up communication.

Business Outcome-

Digital engagement platform/mechanism offering employees improved transparency,


end-user experience and greater connect, all leading to greater participation in the
Organization Decision Making.

Expectation-

Provide a detailed description of the suggested digitally-enabled platform/ digitally-


enabled mechanism which will be helpful in overcoming the stated challenges and
achieve the stated business outcome.

 Capturing real time data like scheduled user details, number of KMS consumed,
travel time, destination reaching time etc…
