A Tragic Christmas

Long before this 2017 Christmas season came, no Pinoys never imagined the very tragic visit of tropical
depression or storm Urduja which left a trail of tears, death, floods, slides and destruction
unprecedented in the places she chose to leave the kind of violence that effaced the joy and revelry of
the Christmas season.

Urduja, whether only a mere tropical depression or storm, was a certain act of God calling for Filipinos
to do the finest, deepest reflection into how we have lived our lives as the only Christian nation in Asia,
as the proud driving force behind that union of spirit among Asean nations.

Urduja left us a tragic trace of human lives lost, rock and mudslides, floods, loss of property
