THYROIDECTOMY, LAPROTOMIES, etc. Learned acute complications of
anesthesia during their anesthesia.
4. UROLOGY THEATRE. Patients suffering from RENAL DISEASE, PROSTATE
were the most frequent faced. Particularly learned the management of water
intoxication syndrome in old aged patients undergoing prostatectomy.
5. DAY CARE SURGERY. Particularly learned the use of ULTRASHORT ACTING
ANESTHETIC DRUGS AND RAPID RECOVERY in these patients.
Complications of delayed recovery were faced.
6. OBSTETRICS THEATRE. Emergency and elective cases suffering from various
obstetrical and gynecological diseases. Particular attention paid to anesthesia of
EMERGENCY CESAREAN SECTION AND FETAL DISTRESS. SPINAL
ANESTHESIA AND EPIDURAL ANESTHSIA (single shot and catherization)
were used for both analgesia and anesthesia to these patients.
7. ENT THEATRE. Patients faced were mostly suffering from TONSILLITIS, DNS,
FRACTURE NASAL BONE, BRONCHOSCOPY, NASAL POLYPS. Particular
attention paid to INHALATION ANESTHESIA and RAPID RECOVERY.
Complications of AIRWAY COMPROMIZE postoperatively faced and managed.
8. MAXILLOFACIAL THEATRE. Cases of Difficult intubation were faced most
frequently in this specialty and learned AWAKE INTUBATION and FIBREOPTIC
INTUBATION. Postoperative complete awakening recovery was learned.
9. EYE THEATRE. Short procedure such as EXAMINATION UNDER
ANESTHEIA of patients of various ages were given ULTRASHORT ACTING
ANESTHESIA and PAIN RELIEF, particularly infants. INTRA-OCULAR
PRESSURE controlling during anesthesia was learned.
10. PAEDITRICS THEATRE. Neonatal and infant anesthesia was learned. Particular
attention paid to POST-OPERATIVE COMPLICATIONS which are most frequent
in small age group.
11. NEUROSURGERY THEATRE. Patients anesthetized undergoing INTRA
CEREBRAL HEMATOME, BRAIN TUMOR, LAMINECTOMY, FIXATION.
Particular attention paid to INDUCED HYPOTENION and CONROLLING

INTRACRANIAL PRESSURE and learned techniques of lowering it during
anesthesia.
12. PULMONARY THEATRE. Techniques of anesthesia of BRONCHOSCOPIES
And ONE LUNG ANESTHESIA were learned and management of their
complications.
WORKING EXPERIENCE IN ICU Nishtar Hospital, Pakistan under guidance of
seniors during postgraduate training in Anesthesia.
Management of patients on ventilators under supervision and independently of
patients suffering from various diseases. Most frequently the patients faced were
organophosphorous poisoning, GB syndrome, Eclampsia, Postoperative
management of intracranial surgery, snake bite, Polytrauma patients, Tetanus,
Complicated patients of obs/gyn surgery needing ICU care, etc.
