1. Circle the words which are synonyms and underline the words which are antonyms from
the passage below.

Bad Day

Yesterday was a bad day. It was a bright day and I was standing under a big tree with
huge stem in our backyard. It was good to stay below the tree. Suddenly, the color of vast blue
sky changed. Large clumps of grey sky moved upon me. A loud thunder startled me. I saw small
rabbits ran into their holes. The thunderous sound scared them. The rabbits took a peep quitely
from their holes. Rain started to pour and wind started to blow. I decided to go home. When I
stepped forward, I stepped on a great amount of mud. It sucked my foot so I stepped backward. I
cried and screamed to call my father but he did not come. The day became darker and darker. I
was tired and sad. There was nothing I can do so I sat on the wet grass. Then the rabbits came
near me, leaning their snouts to my lap. I became happier and braver. Next, I heard my father’s
sound calling me. He came with a raincoat and an umbrella. I smiled at him and he laughed at
me. He carried me and finally brought me into our dry and comfy home.
