Setting up SDSMT VPN on Windows 10

1. First, click on the network icon in the bottom right of your icon tray.

2. Once that window pops-up, click on “Network Settings at the bottom.”

3. This network window should pop-up. Click VPN on the left menu

4. On the next window, click on Add a VPN Connection near the top.
5. This window should now pop up

• Click on VPN Provider and select Windows (Built-in)

• Connection name should be TechVPN.
• In Server name or address, enter techvpn.sdsmt.edu
• In VPN Type leave it at Automatic. If you have issues change this to
SSTP.
• For type of sign-in info, make sure user name and password is selected.
 • For User name and Password below, make sure you enter your network
log-in information (how you log-in to your SDSMT computer). Put
sdsmt\ before entering your user name

6. Once you are done, hit Save at the bottom and it should save your VPN
settings.
7. After you save it, you should be able to connect to the VPN from off
campus and get the network drives.

8. To connect click the Network icon again

9. Click “TechVPN” from the list of networks

10.In the Window that appears click “TechVPN” again and click Connect.
