A brand new night market just opened in the popular district of Pratunam! Talad Neon is located beside
The Palladium / Berkeley Hotel, opposite of the famous Kaiton Chicken Rice and diagonally opposite
Novotel Platinum Hotel / The Platinum Fashion Mall.
Talad Neon is now open in the evening from (4pm – 12am) on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays,
Saturdays and Sundays. It may be only 85% complete now but with its location, I’m very sure it will be
one of the most popular night market in Bangkok soon.
Operating Hours > Daily, 1600 – 2400 hrs (as of Oct 2017)
Pratunam
Pratunam is the most well-known shopping district in Bangkok and hence you can find many hotels and
street food around here for your convenience. The only drawback is the lack of trains (BTS) in Pratunam
but this does not seem to affect many tourists as many Singaporeans still like to stay in this area for the
convenience of shopping and street food. Platinum Fashion Mall and the street markets opposite at
Pratunam Market close at 8pm but there are still many places to shop around Pratunam!
If Talad Neon is insufficient, no worries because you can more street vendors outside The Palladium,
Watergate Pavilion and Baiyoke areas
Where > Kaset-Nawamin Rd (via taxi) - near to the Chatujak 1/2 hour taxi ride

ChangChui
One of the latest addition to Bangkok’s thriving night
market scene is ChangChui in Thonburi district. The
term ‘”chui” refers to being disorganised in the Thai
language but do not be deceived by its name—the
huge lifestyle space is a one-stop destination for
everything art related.
Think fashion
apparel stalls, concept cafes, food trucks and a vintage
cinema for the film buffs. The creative co-working space
looks more like a page in a fairy tale book than the usual
boisterous Thai night markets you are used to seeing in
Bangkok

*BONUS* Shinsen Fish Market
Shinsen Fish Market is Thailand’s answer to
Tokyo's Tsukiji Fish Market - albeit a much cheaper
version of it. As Bangkok’s first and only market
selling live fish, her pocket-friendly price-tag doesn’t
compromise on the entire experience: feast on fresh
seafood from all around the world, admire scaly
creatures in live aquariums or pick up a few culinary
tricks at their Cooking School.
BOX SPACE Ratchayothin offers a relaxed shopping experience, beautifully decorated with fascinating
light fixtures that add to it’s magical atmosphere. After dark, the food, drink and live entertainment
comes to life making for a good, down home time in Bangkok. It is a must visit to BOX SPACE
Ratchayothin if you wish to experience the modern youth culture of Thailand.

Then there is Taling Chan floating market, with just enough boats to be called a floating market and the
right amount of people to still be enjoyable.
The entrance of the market is not all that impressive with that green plastic roof sheltering mostly plants
and gardening stuff but beyond is the real market with all kinds or sweets, fruits and fun snacks you should
really try. Travelling without eating is missing half the pleasure. Past a small bridge, you can't miss all the
wooden boats moored along the riverbank, most of them cooking huge prawns on small barbecues, blue
crabs, large fish, some others preparing the famous Som Tum for the many dinners sitting at the usual
wooden platforms and low tables. Eating seafood at the floating market is a great weekend attraction for
Thai people and if you arrive past eleven in the morning, restaurantsare already running at full capacity
and most tables in the central area are occupied. Continue past the first group of restaurants and the
crowd starts to thin out
Opening Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm How to get there: Taxi is the easiest way but you can
get on the BTS to Wongwian Yai Station then ride a taxi for about 17mn, or ride the bus for an hour
