Management/Coordination of a National Programme

As Director, Family Health Services I coordinated the implementation of the following

key activities in the Expanded Programme on Immunization:

1. Measles Prevention Campaign – 2015 (see report and powerpoint presentation;

IEC material – brochure, posters and PSA)
2. Introduction of Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine (IPV) as the first dose into the
National Immunization programme (see plan and report)
3. Revised the concept note that facilitated the securing of funds for the Introduction
of Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV) – see concept note

In addition, coordination of the development of the unit’s operational plan and budget
along with co-authoring the unit’s annual report.

In my current capacity as the Acting Director, Health Services Planning and Integration I
have coordinated and provided reports on aspects of Radiotherapy services including:

 Development of the situational analysis for the service

 Staffing requirements to operate the service

In addition, I have reviewed the following revised manuals:

 Nursing Policy Manual (completed; for printing)

 Infection, Prevention and Control (still in the review process)
 EPI Field Guide (still in the review process)
