Renders appropriate health services as needed by the community which includes but is
not limited to the following assessment and management of Women of childbearing
age.
Gives emergency treatments covered by Midwifery law and health facility protocol.
Renders appropriate antenatal care services.
Renders care throughout labor, delivery and immediate post – partum period.
Practices safe newborn care.
Gives counseling on proper breastfeeding.
Prepares a birth and emergency plan.
Facilitates community participation in the identification of community – based projects,
programs, implementation and monitoring.
Assists the communities in developing mechanisms to sustain the implementation of
community projects and programs.
Submits monthly accomplishment reports and DTRs and other required reports to DOH
– Regional Office XI through the PDOHOs, describing the highlights of their activities,
targets and accomplishment, learning insights, issues, concerns and recommendation on
or before the agreed upon deadline.
Assist in the implementation of various health programs of the Local Government Unit
in accordance with the programs and objectives of the Department of Health including
but not limited to the High Impact 5 Strategy.
