Match on action is where all clips are put together in a chronological, “natural” order. This is
extremely important in cinematography as a lack of Match on Action ruins the continuity of the
film and breaks the illusion of it being reality and reminds the viewer they’re watching an actor
being recorded rather than a character in a scene.

A Change in time
Are often used to simbolise the beginning or end of scene, story or chapter in tv shows and films

Used to show a transition to a new part of the video / shows a switch in scenes

Take An “attempt” or new start of a scene. If a
scene needs to be reshot after the first time the
cue board will display “Take 2”.
