It is my pleasure to recommend Amanda Smith for a teaching position in your district.
Amanda has served as a partner teacher at Parkade Elementary School, and proven to
be an outstanding classroom addition, taking initiative in all situations. She goes above
and beyond to help all students be successful.

Amanda is someone you can always count on. She is reliable and dependable in any
situation. When it comes to deadlines and due dates, she is always ahead of schedule
and accurate with her responses. Amanda makes a conscientious effort to complete her
work well.

Amanda has many strengths that she uses in and out of the classroom and I was able to
observe them during her time at Parkade. She worked with students one-on-one, in
small groups, and in whole group settings. Amanda is very nurturing and attentive to
student needs, building strong relationships with students while still maintaining strong
classroom management. She engaged students in their learning and motivated them to
work through any challenges they faced. Her passion for teaching and learning is
evident in the work she does in the classroom.

Throughout this last year I had the ability to watch Amanda produce new and exciting
ideas when working with students. She was able to write quality lesson plans and her
performance has been stellar. Amanda’s imagination shows in the work she produces
on a daily basis.

Amanda has the ability to ask thoughtful and reflective questions to better understand
what is being asked of her. She is also reflective in her practice, which allows her to
grasp new ideas and comprehend any changes that need to be made. Amanda
communicates thoughtfully and clearly with others when collaborating to best meet the
needs of students. Amanda would be a great asset to your district and I would like to
highly recommend her for a position.
