To whom it may concern,

As you are considering individuals for hire, it is my privilege to strongly recommend Amanda
Smith for your potential employee. Amanda has participated in our organization, Student
Mobilization, for the past three years. I have worked alongside her and have seen her develop
into a responsible leader that others admire and into a woman that positively influences those
she’s around.

Amanda has been a vital part of our leadership team with Stumo at the University of Missouri.
She has sought to be a leader on campus and in her sorority by giving other woman
opportunities to investigate holistic growth; including helping them understand how spirituality
relates to their college experience. She has displayed humility, determination, and patience as
she has served on our leadership team.

Amanda has also spent her previous two summers developing as an individual and as a leader
at our leadership institute called Kaleo. This past summer, Amanda was responsible for leading
a group of three women for nine weeks. She spent her time discerning how to help them grow
in their leadership, character, and faith. This required her to be diligent to manage her time and
make sacrifices necessary to think through the needs of the women. I see this experience
benefitting her as a teacher because she utilized her time in college to intentionally develop
into a woman that others can depend on, that has integrity in her responsibilities, has great
work ethic, and will be determined and qualified to help children in her classroom learn the
material that she is teaching.

In the same way that I have seen Amanda as a great addition to our organization, I would have
no reservations in recommending her for the position that is available. She is a delight to work
with, mature, and very professional. She would do a great job in the classroom, outside of the
classroom, and with the children. It is my honor to recommend her! Please feel free to reach
out to me if you have any more questions!

Sincerely,

Jessilyn Ochs
