The Big Event

One BIG day. One BIG thanks. 

Dear Sir or Madam,

The students at Northeastern State University feel an urge to say, “Thank You”
to the Tahlequah community. The Big Event is a one-day volunteer service
opportunity that ensures NSU students can work hard to meet needs, serve the
community, and just say thanks.
The Big Event is not about the number of jobs completed or about the number of
students who participate each year; rather, it is the relationships that are
fostered between Tahlequah area residents and NSU’s students that makes the
Big Event so BIG. Now, in its twelfth year under the direction of Senator Herb
Rozell Scholars, the BIG Event hopes to connect campus and community in an
unparalleled way.
Bringing campus and community together is the mission; one big day, one big
thanks, one Big Event! Job sites include, but are not limited to: raking, weeding,
cleaning, washing windows, moving boxes, and so much more. Students will
arrive mid-morning to the job sites ready and willing to serve.
Please join with the students’ efforts to serve and thank their community by
becoming a sponsor! Enclosed is a Big Event Sponsorship Contract.
Sponsorship's are due to the NSU Office of Student Activities (612 N. Grand Ave)
