    Static Electricity - Station 1

    Hold a balloon against the wall.


    What happens?

    Now rub the same balloon on the sleeve of a woollen jumper.


    Hold it close to the wall.
    What happens?

    Now rub both balloons on the jumper. Hold them close


    together.

    Static Electricity – Station 2

    Turn on the tap to get a thin flow of water.


    Hold a comb towards the water.
    What happens?

    Rub the comb against a woollen jumper and hold it towards the
    water.
    What happens?
    Try the same activity with a wooden spoon.
    Static Electricity – Station 3

    Hold a comb above some small pieces of tissue paper.


    What happens?

    Rub the comb against a woollen jumper or comb your hair and
    then hold the comb above the small pieces of tissue paper.
