INT. LIDA’S HOUSE – DAY

Lida, Karen and Adriana met to talk about their lives.

Adriana is the last one to arrive.

ADRIANA
Hey girls, what’s up?

LIDA
We were waiting for you.

ADRIANA
Ok, I am here now. So, what should we do?

KAREN
Well, we were talking about you and we came
to the conclusion that you need to date.

ADRIANA
Oh no, here we go again. I am totally fine.
I don’t need to have a relationship,
really.

LIDA
But you look so miserable and we want you
to be happy like us.

ADRIANA
That’s not true. And I am dating.

KAREN
Oh please. You date, but you are not taking
it seriously.

LIDA
And that’s why we make you a double date.
And you are completely going.

ADRIANA
But…

KAREN
And no complaints.
Adriana sighs as she scratches her head.

ADRIANA
All right, I will go. But it’s just because
I don’t want to listen to you anymore, ok?

KAREN & LIDA

Ok.

INT. MYSTIC GRILL RESTAURANT - DAY

LIDA
She will love you, Maria. She is like you,
beautiful, cheerful, extrovert, clever, and
especially easy-going and hardworking.

Maria exhaled and emitted an expression of dude.

MARIA
I don’t know. I think that I'm better this
way.

LIDA
Just like that?

MARIA
Yes Lida, I’m better single. When did you
start to be so gross?

LIDA
Hey, and what are you, the most intelligent
person? You are so grumpy.

Karen and Adriana arrived to the restaurant. Adriana and

Maria were bandaged.

LIDA (CONT’D)
Let’s go, they are there.

MARIA
Hey, be careful. Remember that you bandaged
my eyes.

LIDA
Blah blah blah… Come on.

Adriana & Karen got closer to the table.

KAREN
Hi my love.

LIDA
Hi baby, hi Chiki… I’m sorry I have arrived
late, but Maria walks very slowly. Girls,
are you ready for your Blind Date?

ADRIANA & MARIA

Maybe.

Karen and Lida sat at another table. While they were talking
about their engagement, Maria and Adriana were having an
unpleasant date.

MARIA
You are a grumpy person and I can see that
you are an ambitious and a stingy person.

ADRIANA
How can you tell me that? You don’t know me.

MARIA
I don’t need to know you. It’s obvious, you
talk very loudly.

ADRIANA
And what about you? You sound like a man. If
I were you, I would talk like a true woman.

MARIA
What?

Maria and Adriana took off the bandages from their eyes and
they started to pull their hairs. Then Lida and Karen arrived
to mend the situation and have that “beautiful date”.

LIDA
Guys, what did happen here?

MARIA

This girl told me: “you sound like a man”,

and you know that is false.

Karen laughed.

KAREN
Really? that’s true.

LIDA
Honey! Don’t say that.

KAREN
But it is the true!

LIDA
Ja! Don´t talk to me now.

Lida twisted her eyes and turned her head to Adriana and
Maria.

LIDA (CONT’D)
Adri, Maria. I’m sorry, but you might try to
meet people of your liking. Why don’t you
try to get along well? If I were you, I
would…

ADRIANA
It’s always the same! If I were you blah
blah blah… If I were you, what?

Adriana screamed and tipped her head back to look up.

ADRIANA (CONT’D)
I got tired of all of this Lida!

MARIA
So do I! You are a manipulative person. Or
is it that you have nothing to do with your
life?

Lida had started to cry, while her girlfriend consoled her.

Adriana and Maria left and went to their houses.

INT. LIDA’S HOUSE – SUNSET

Adriana and Maria went to Lida’s house to reconcile.

ADRIANA
Hi Lida.

LIDA
Hello girls.

MARIA
Li, we want to apologize for what happened.

ADRIANA
We promise we will try to know each other
again, and without fighting.

LIDA
There is no problem, it´s ok. You know I
just want to see you happy, because I love
you.

ADRIANA
We know that, but we need time. First of
all, we must know each other well. It´s not
so easy. It takes time.

MARY
Yes baby. But anyway, thank you very much.
It was very nice of you to do that for us.

Lida immediately hugged her friends and everything returned

to normal.

ADRIANA
We should go to bar tonight to celebrate!

LIDA & MARIA

Yeah!

ADRIANA
I’ll call Karen later.

INT. THE BAXTER INN - NIGHT

They celebrated for their beautiful friendship at the “Baxter

Inn” bar. They raised their cups and toasted.

EVERYONE
FRIENDS FOREVER!

And they cheered and danced all the night.
