I found it interesting that the tests were all very accurate. The top suggested courses that they
gave me were also the occupations that I was most interested in. Not to mention, the courses
that are required by the occupation are all courses that I have signed up for in the grade 11,
and am interested in.
I learnt that I am meant for occupations that have a design aspect to it, judging by the listings of
architect, interior designer, and urban planner in the top four. After researching, I discovered
that I am more suited for UBC as my post-secondary school as it the most convenient, location
wise, and has a good program to become an architect.
What programs will I possibly want to take? (This is a summary of your research)
After all my research (although I will definitely do more when the time comes), I feel that the
School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture would be the best program for me. Before I
start this program, I would need to take an undergraduate program. As for that, I would be
planning to take Environmental Design.
I like that the programs are based off the subjects that I enjoy and fascinate me. This will allow
me to look forward to my post-secondary years as it will be spent doing and learning about what
I love. However, there is a catch on these programs. It’s going to be expensive. I wouldn’t want
to spending my years after university, worrying about money, so I would have to think my plans
through more thoroughly when the time comes.
