The acid gas stream from the sweetening unit contains mainly H2S and CO2
The H2S in the acid gas is very toxic and smelly, so it could not be released to
the atmosphere without some further processing:
1. Re-inject the acid gas into a formation.
2. Burn the acid gas, converting the H2S into SO2. Release the SO2 to the
atmosphere.
3. Convert the H2S into elemental Sulphur (S). sell Sulphur into the world market.
