ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

The first challenge to set up an early childhood centre is is to prepare a good business proposal for an
early childhood programme. The collected data through the need analysis will be the basis for the
programme setup decision-making and it provides information about family values that can be used
to prepare a business proposal that is attactive to parents. The purpose of this assignment is to get
you to develop a business proposal for early childhood programme based on customer needs.

In order to achieve the purpose, this assignment has two parts as follow.

Part 1:
First, you are required to interview 10 parents in your local area to find out:
1. Type of early childhood services preferred;
2. How much is or could be spent on their child service or school;
3. Days and hours services are needed; and
4. Preferred location.
Discuss your finding with relevant support from literature. (20 marks)

Part 2:
Based on information collected in Part 1, prepare a business proposal for your programme. Your
proposal should include the following items.
1. Type of programme offered;
2. Target learners and location;
3. Programme name, logo, mission and vision;
4. Yearly activities;
5. A floor plan and space plan for children activities;
6. The organisation chart (include proposed number of staff, position and job description);
7. Proposed meal plan for two weeks;
8. A marketing strategy and a budget. (Please refer to Chapter 6)
Discuss and provide rationale for selection of each item in your proposal. (40 mark)

Submit both parts in one file between 5 th March 2017 until 19th March 2018.

SOALAN TUGASAN
Cabaran pertama untuk menubuhkan pusat awal kanak-kanak adalah untuk menyediakan proposal
perniagaan untuk program awal kanak-kanak. Data yang dikumpul melalui analisis keperluan boleh
menjadi asas dalam membuat keputusan tentang program dan boleh digunakan untuk mendapatkan
maklumat tentang nilai keluarga bagi penyediaan proposal busines yang menarik ibu bapa. Tujuan
tugasan ini adalah untuk membolehkan pelajar menyediakan proposal busines untuk program awal
kanak-kanak berdasarkan keperluan pelanggan.

Bagi mencapai tujuan tersebut, tugasan ini terbahagi kepada dua bahagian seperti berikut.

Bahagian 1:
Pertama, anda dikehendaki melakukan temu bual terhadap 10 orang ibu atau bapa di kawasan
kediaman anda untuk mendapatkan maklumat tentang
