Macatawa Bay Yacht Club- Dishwasher June 2017- Sept. 2017

● Became part of a working business and noticed everyone plays a vital role in a business.
● Dealt with many high pressure situations with parties and hundreds of customers.
● Adapted to achieve many different tasks, and worked with other dishwashers to achieve a common goal.
Herman Miller- Internship June 2017- August 2017
Holland, MI
●Assisted in the Core Employability Skills project for the State of Michigan by evaluating and documenting
skill rubrics for several companies. This allowed for an accelerated creation of one shared rubric with the
intent for statewide adoption.
● Researched and recommended community based awards for employee recognition. Recommendation
included awards for all U.S. locations, application timelines, and a suggested internal nomination process.
● Designed marketing materials describing each Herman Miller Inclusive Resource Team (IRT) to display
team purpose, community work, and improve employee engagement and awareness. Materials are for
internal and external audiences.
Self-Employed Babysitting 2015- Present

● Care for the needs of child age 6, once a month: monitor his well-being and follow parents’ instructions.

Activities
Future Prep’d After School Program January 2017-April 2017
● Collaborated with peers at Herman Miller Corporation to solve real-life problems.
● Visited many successful companies like Transmatic, Haworth, Royal Tech, etc. that helped show the
many steps to making and selling products (Supplier, Retailer, etc.), and sparked my current interest in
Business.
● Gave several group presentations to OAISD members and Herman Miller employees, and received
constructive feedback on presentation and visual skills.
Young Life 2014-Present
● Attend meetings every Monday/Tuesday evening, to praise God and see his impact on others.
● Generate lifelong relationships with others, create a positive/ comfortable atmosphere for others, and
meet 1 on 1 with a leader (mentor) to discuss life events and personal issues.
High School Soccer 2014- Present
● Develop relationships with teammates on and off the field, and built personal leadership skills.
