Method

Activity #4
1. Four leaves with intact petioles were obtained.
2. The leaves were weighed and the respective masses recorded.
3. A piece of string was tied to the petiole of each leaf. The other end of each leaf was
attached to a paper clip of a different colour.
4. Two retort stands were placed 30cm apart and connected by a piece of string.
5. The paper clips with the leaves were attached to the string and placed 5cm apart.
6. The leaves were left for 30 minutes away from the fans in the lab.
7. After 30 minutes, the leaves were reweighed and the respective masses recorded.
