A course for preparing students for studying abroad

Introduction

The principal aims of this proposal are to provide relevant information for
introducing a course for preparing students to study abroad, and to adress
potential problems they may face. Some recommendations how to better
prepare students are given in the final section.

Current situation

A survey among students who intend to study abroad shown that they are
the most interested for information about acommodation, living expenses and
compatibility of foreign college programs. About 70 percent of those surveyed
expressed wish that they had some feedback information from someone who
is still studying abroad.

Factors preventing greater student excange

A lack of information may have prevented more students to decide for

college abroad. In addition, many of interested people got information too
late for free places for excahnge.

Recommendations

Clearly, more could be done to encourage studiyng abroad and student

exchange. I would make the following recommendations:

 that the students who have already studied abroad, share their
expiriences about it on few classes of the new course
 creating a list of opened places on foreign colleges for the next
academic year
 organize guest lecturers for promoting certain foreign colleges, and
provide more information

If this recommendations are implemented, more students may decide for

studying abroad.
