startup companies. As a partner, I focused on marketing the brand. With other partners, I vetted
and advised start up companies in the semiconductor space.

2015 - 2017
Chief Marketing Officer
o Directed strategy, raised funding and developed marketing for innovative India-based
telemedicine startup with revolutionary electrocardiogram capability. With founding team,
screened thousands for cardio-vascular disease in remote India sites, drove adoption in a dozen
large India hospital chains, developed partnership with Medtronic resulting in company’s most
significant revenue source and developed plans for international expansion, now underway.
o Developed detailed plans for Armenia Telemedicine Center of Excellence, including degreed
courses at two universities in cooperation with Armenia Telemedicine Association (including MD
with telemedicine emphasis), and the development of a large telemedicine center to service
Eastern Europe, Russia, India and the Middle East. Created proposal and applied for World Bank
Grant.

Synopsys Inc., Mountain View, CA 2000 - 2015

Vice President, Corporate Marketing & Strategic Alliances
o Directed corporating marketing organization consisting of Marketing Communications, Public
Relations, Events, Creative Services, Web, Market Research, Executive Speaking placement and
preparation, Community and Employee Communication, Strategic Alliances, University
Programs, Standards and Industry Relations. This organization totaled 85 employees which
became the industry’s most respected marketing team.
o Established Synopsys as the industry’s leader in digital marketing, by revamping web site, and
using novel techniques to leverage social media.
o As Site Manager of Synopsys Dubai, established the Gulf Cooperative Council’s first design
services organization which designed the region’s first successful semiconductors. Developed
partnership with Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala as they acquired Global Foundries.

o Established company and responsible for all aspects of the operation of Synopsys Armenia,
building it into Synopsys’ largest foreign R&D site.
o Proclaimed the best company in the country by The National Assembly of the Republic of
Armenia in 2004.
o Finalist for US Secretary of State (Hillary Clinton) ACE Award for best foreign subsidiary in 2006.
o Established Microelectronics Department of State Engineering of Armenia, establishing world

the Republic of Armenia in IT to honor that country’s top 1% engineering students.

o Established Synopsys University Program as the industry’s leader servicing 1600 universities, by
introducing new concepts, such as establishment of EE university department to service
Armenia site, and leveraging curriculum in 40 universities worldwide.
o Pioneered the use of Open Source in standards by developing strategy and applying to Liberty
(.lib) and Open SystemC. Developed a strong standards organization, headed by the current
President of IEEE. Cooperated with IEEE, Accellera, Si2 , etc. to establish and promote a wide
range of standards. Drove the standardization process and establishment of SystemVerilog and
Universal Power Format (UPF).

Engineering Manager, Strategic Alliances 1992 - 1995

o Established Synopsys Semiconductor Vendor Program as the industry’s leading Strategic
Alliances organization & an acknowledged competitive advantage. Established partnerships with
companies such as TSMC, Global Foundries, UMC, SMIC, Texas Instruments, NEC, Fujitsu,
Toshiba, IBM, etc. and provided deep technical support.
