 All the posts carry IDA pattern pay scales and usual allowances such as CCA, HRA,
Leave Travel facilities etc. These scales carry DA on percentage basis. Gross emoluments
would vary depending upon place of posting. 
 Employees of Central/State Govt. and Public Sector Undertakings should apply online,
take the printout of the filled-in form, get it certified by their present employer in the space
provided on the form OR obtain the No Objection Certificate from their present employer,
attach all essential enclosures and send it to the address mentioned so as to reach within the
stipulated date.
 Mere submission of application and fulfilling the eligibility conditions give no right to
any person for appearing in Test etc. 
 Filling up of these vacancies is subject to the outcome of any litigation affecting the
recruitment. 
 No correspondence will be entertained about the outcome of the application, at any stage. 
 All appointments will be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Corporation, in-force
from time to time. Other benefits like CPF, Gratuity, Leave Travel Concessions, Leave
Encashment, Medical reimbursement, conveyance reimbursement, lunch subsidy etc., shall
be applicable as per the rules of the Corporation as amended from time to time.
 The candidates on selection to East Zone may be posted in any state within the
jurisdiction of East Zone as category III is a zonal cadre post. However they are also liable to
be posted anywhere in the country in the interest of the organization. 
 No TA will be provided for the Written Test. However, for attending the document
verification process, candidates will be given II class Rail fare or ordinary bus fare “To and
Fro” (as per entitlement) by the shortest route, subject to production of railway ticket/bus
ticket & subject to passing the document verification process. 
 Candidates should satisfy themselves that they fulfill the required qualification including
Computer Qualification, age etc., before applying for the post. In case it is found that the
information furnished by a candidate is defective in any manner or has deliberately
suppressed information, the candidature will be summarily rejected as and when it comes to
the notice of the Management. The candidates are advised to satisfy themselves fully about
the correctness of the information furnished, if found ineligible at any stage the candidature
would be rejected. 
 Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be called for document
verification. Only those candidates cleared in the document verification process, fulfilling all
the eligibility criteria will be considered for empanelment in order of merit. 
 No other Computer Qualification other than expressly mentioned in the
Qualification Criteria would be accepted 
 Issue of admit card for the written test & calling for document verification does not
confer any right of acceptance of candidature and should not be construed as an
acknowledgement of fulfilling the eligibility criterion. 
 Self attested Photostat copies of documents for proof of age/qualifications/caste etc.
should be attached with the application. Without these the candidature would be
rejected. Original certificates will, however, be scrutinized / verified at the time of
document verification. 
 Management reserves the right to conduct additional examination/skill test or call for any
additional documentary evidence in support of educational qualification & experience of the
applicant. 
 At the time of the document verification process, if a candidate is unable to produce all
the original documents due to whatsoever reason, his candidature would be rejected. Under
no circumstances additional time would be provided. Thus only those candidates are advised
to apply who can produce all the relevant documents in original at the time of verification of
documents. 
 Care should be exercised by the Departmental candidates to take the printout of the filled-
in form, get it certified by the respective competent authority in the space provided on the
form OR obtain the No Objection Certificate from respective competent authority, attach all
essential enclosures and send it to the address mentioned so as to reach within the stipulated
date. 
 Any attempt to influence the Corporation in any manner would result in disqualification
and rejection of candidature immediately. 
 Candidate must ensure to have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, viz., age &
qualification as on 01.08.2010 
 In case of any clarification on recruitment process, please email at fci@specialtest.in ; no
other form of communication shall be entertained. However pendency of any such query will
not effect in extension of scheduled dates of the recruitment process. 
 Appointment of empanelled candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit,
verification of character and antecedents and verification of caste certificate wherever
applicable.

Process 1: Fill the FcI Application Form Online

1.1

Visit the Website  http://specialtest.in/fci regularly for updated information.

1.2

Read carefully the Guidelines, Eligibility Criteria, General Instruction and the Advertisement including
post wise eligibility conditions carefully.
1.3

Demand Draft (for GENERAL/OBC Candidates only) :

You will need to provide certain details from the Demand Draft /Pay Order/Banker's
Cheque at the time of online submission of application form. Hence, you must have
the DD/PO/BC ready before filling up the application form

You are required to obtain a Demand Draft/Pay Order/ Banker's Cheque for Rs.300/-
drawn in favour of Food Corporation of India payable at KOLKATA , before submission of
the Application. Application fee is not required for SC/ST and PH candidates subject to
submission of caste/medical certificate from the appropriate authority in support of
his/her claim as per prescribed proforma.

Please Note: Application submitted without the details of the DD/PO/BC  wherever


required will not be accepted.

Process 2: GUIDELINES TO SELECT AND APPLY FOR ONE POST OR MULTIPLE POSTS

2.1

Candidate can apply for single post or multiple posts, if meeting the eligibility conditions i.e.
educational qualification, age, etc.

2.2

In the Group Table (Click here to view) single post or combination of posts to which a candidate can
apply are categorized in different groups. By selecting a particular group, the application of the
candidate will be considered for the respective post or posts, marked with (tick ) against that group
e.g. if you select Group B, your application will be considered for the post AG.III (Accounts). If you
select Group AB , your application will be considered for the posts AG.III(General)  &
AG.III(Accounts) etc.

2.3

Candidate is not allowed to apply for both AG.III (Accounts) & AG.III (Quality Control) posts as a
combination.

2.4

Select the appropriate group suiting to your qualification. A candidate can apply for one group only.

Process 3: FILL THE FCI APPLICATION FORM ONLINE

3.1

Since your eligibility will be screened based on the information furnished by you, you are required to
exercise sufficient care to correctly furnish the details of your Age, Qualification, Experience, etc.
3.2

After filling the form correctly, submit the same by clicking the button "SUBMIT" where by the data
filled by you will be captured.

3.3

On successful submission of online application form, a auto generated Application Number will be
allotted which will appear on print version of the application form. For further correspondence, quote
this Application No.

3.4

Please save the print version of application form using "SAVE AS" function and after that you should
take the print out.

3.5

You must keep an additional print out of the application form for all future references.

3.6

After taking the print out, affix your two identical passport size photographs in the spaces provided,
sign on the photographs, attach the DD/PO/BC(wherever required) of requisite amount with the print
version of application and sign on the application form at the appropriate places.

Candidates should note that they should attach with their applications attested certified copies
of the following documents:
(i) Matriculation or equivalent certificate in support of their declaration of age.

(ii) Degree /or Certificate in support of their educational/computer qualifications;

(iii) If the qualification possessed by the candidate is equivalent, then the authority (with
number and date) under which it has been so treated must be indicated;

(iv) A candidate who claims to belong to one of the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes
has to submit, in support of his claim, an attested copy of a certificate in the prescribed
proforma certified by the competent authority (original to be produced at the time of

(v) A candidate who claims to belong to one of the Other Backward Classes has to submit in
support of his claim an attested copy of a certificate in the prescribed format issued by the
competent authority specified by the Govt. in their O.M. No. 36012/22/93-Estt. (SC) dated
22.10.93. Candidate seeking reservation as OBC has to submit a declaration in the prescribed
format, that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer on the crucial date, in addition to the
community certificate(OBC). Unless specified otherwise, the closing date for receipt of
applications for the post is to be treated as crucial date. Candidates may produce the original

(vi) A candidate who claims fee exemption being Physically Handicapped (eligible for
appointment to the post on the basis of prescribed standards of Medical Fitness) has to submit
an attested copy of a medical certificate issued by the Surgeon/Medical Officer of the
Government Hospital/Medical Board in the prescribed proforma. (Original to be produced at

NOTE :

I : Original certificate should not be sent with the application. These should be produced at
the time of verification.

II. Candidates should note that only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation, Higher
Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of
application will be accepted by the Corporation and no subsequent request for its change will
be considered or granted.

III. If no copies of the above certificates are sent with the application, it is liable to be
rejected and no appeal against its rejection will be entertained.

IMPORTANT

1. Candidates must read the “Guidelines for Applying, Elgibility Criteria & General
Instruction” before filling up the Application form. He/She must fill the form strictly
according to the instruction.
2. Candidates must ensure that no column is left blank or wrongly filled as the information
furnished therein would be used for deciding the eligibility and suitability of the candidate for
being called for the written test. Applications not filled correctly and as per the
“INSTRUCTIONS” are liable to be rejected and the onus of such rejection would be on the
candidate himself/herself. The Corporation will not entertain any claim after such rejection.

3. Copies of certificates should be attached in support of information given in the form where
necessary. Any information contained in the attached certificates shall not be considered
unless it is claimed in the application form.

4. You are required to obtain a Demand Draft/Pay Order/ Banker's Cheque for Rs.300/-
drawn in favour of Food Corporation of India payable at NOIDA, before submission of the
Application. Application fee is not required for SC/ST and PH candidates subject to
submission of caste/medical certificate from the appropriate authority in support of his/her
claim as per prescribed proforma.

ADMIT CARD

The tentative date for written test is 21.11.2010. The Admit Card for the written test has to be downloaded from
the website http://specialtest.in/fci from 14 days before the date of written test.

On the basis of information given in the FCI Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible candidates
will be available for download on the website of  http://specialtest.in/fci on or after 08/11/2010 (1400 Hours).

On such downloaded admit cards, the candidates are required to affix their two photographs (copies of the same
photograph affixed on the Application Form) and sign on both the photographs on the downloaded Admit Card
for producing at the Examination Centre. Candidate without the downloaded admit card or without the
photograph on the admit card will NOT be permitted to appear in the written test.

1. Attach your two passport size photograph (without attestation) in the space provided.
2. Endorse your signatures in the space provided.
3. Application form received without two photographs, signatures and Demand
Draft(For GENERAL/OBC Candidates only) will be rejected.
4. Send the duly completed application form along with attested/self-certified copies of
testimonials to the below mentioned address in single envelope superscribing –
“Applications for the FCI Category III Posts (Zone: EAST, Group: Group AC) ". The
application should reach by 21.09.2010( by 29.09.2010 for North Eastern states &
Jammu & Kashmir).

5. Use Only the Address Label generated along with Application Form for sending the
Print version of Application Form alongwith relevant certificates/documents.
6. Keep a copy of the Application Form for future reference. Quote auto-generated
Application No. for further correspondence.
7. Candidate must ensure to have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria, viz., age &
qualification as on 01.08.2010. No other Computer Qualification other than
expressly mentioned in the Qualification Criteria would be accepted.
8. The applications received after the closing date will not be entertained
