Unit 8: Developing a creative media production project

Unit 8 is to provide you with the opportunity to make use of the skills,
knowledge and understanding developed through the previous units to
complete a creative media project. The unit will provide you with a
measure of self-directed learning, and an opportunity to begin to
clarify your longer-term goals through your choice of an activity to
explore in greater depth.

Vibe productions would like you to produce a production fit for a

public exhibition and to demonstrate your skills.

You can produce

1. A short film
2. A music video
3. A stop motion
4. An advertising campaign
5. A documentary

You must focus on one of the following roles

(groups must cover all of these roles)

1. Editor
2. Camera
3. Lighting (mise-en-scene)
4. Sound production (audio)

Your productions have no specific time / length must follow medium

conventions and if you decide to entre you production into a
competition or you are working for a client you must follow their rules.
