A) Theme: Forgiveness

B) Passage: “Then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the

ground and make me sleep in dust.” Psalms 7:5 OT

C) Forgiveness is much harder than people think. It varies on the person. However, when

one experiences a hurtful situation themselves, it normally becomes difficult to

fundamentally forgive. There are always risks. Risks that it may happen again, and that

the one you forgive will see forgiveness as a sign of weakness and giving up. However,

forgiveness is quite the opposite. When you forgive someone, it is a sign of strength, that

both people have learnt from the situation. God never holds grudges. If we want to be

more like him, we shall do the same, and we shall forgive others the way Jesus forgave

us.

D) Prayer: Dear God, we come together in you name, to please help and guide us to love our

brothers and sisters as much as you do. Please protect us against Satan, who drives and

encourages us to hold grudges against them. Most importantly, help us to forgive those
who have hurt us, protect those who prosecute us, and love our enemies. Let us forget all

thoughts of revenge, and turn to you when we feel upset.
