Using information and communication technologies (ICT), within early childhood, enhances
a child’s learning. Using ICT as a learning tool within the classroom allows students to observe
and make discoveries, engage in interactive activities, problem solve and explore their
creativity. Within my mathematics lesson I have included four crucial ICT tools which are
used as a learning tool, enhancing students learning. The first ICT tool includes answer
garden. Answer garden allows an educator to pose a question for students to answer via
their devices. Answer garden has been included as it is an interactive and engaging way to
spark student’s knowledge and submit responses in a fun way. Answer garden also allows
students to view other’s responses encouraging students to share ideas and learn
collaboratively. The second ICT tool included is google forms. Google forms allows students
to create and analyse surveys. By including google forms into my lesson plan, students will
working together. Google forms also allows students to immediately observe and analyse
the results of a survey. Through the visual representation of results, students will engage
positively contributing to child learning. The third ICT tool used includes keynote. Keynote is
lesson, I have asked students to use the graphing tool and display their survey results into a
bar graph form. This app supports students understanding of analysing survey responses and
displaying it in a visual way. Students will be introduced to x and y axis and inserting results
in an interactive way. The final ICT tool includes canva. Canva is an online website which
allows students to display and create work. In using canva, students will display their bar
graphs in a poster form in a creative way. This shows the students what they have achieved
