BULLY FREE ZONE!

We must stop bullying. It stops here. It stops now.
Written by: Joanna Lopez & Amaya Uvalle
Edited by: Amaya Uvalle

Have you ever experienced being bullied? Well I have and between you and me, it’s not
fun. In fact, I don’t think anyone, besides the bully, thinks it's fun. Therefore, I would like
to give you some advice.

A bully will tease you, call you names, cause problems, make you feel bad, make you cry and try to make your
life miserable. My big question is what do bullies think and why do they do this to people?

As Bobcats, we need to stick up for ourselves and each other to stop bullying! We have solutions like tell your
teacher, tell a trusted adult, tell the principal, tell your parents, tell the nearest yard duty and most importantly
just walk away from them. Find your happy place and tell someone!

It doesn't matter what you do or what clothes you wear, anyone can be a Bobcat role model if you just be
yourself. Be the person you want to be.

I hope everyone can set and accomplish your dreams. Always make good decisions and do what is right
because Bobcats care!

Family Ties

Do you have a sibling on campus? Well I do! But even though I know what it’s like, I wanted to
know what others thought about the pros and cons about having a sibling on campus.

I asked Emily Quevedo, who has a younger sibling on campus, if she could list a few of the pros
and here is what she told me:
- You get to see them around campus and give them a hug
- They may be able to help you with stuff
- They are nice to you (sometimes)

I then asked Na'Shay Sahagun-Hill, who has three younger siblings on campus, if she could give
me some of the cons and here is what she said:
- They try to act all cool when they are around you
- They ignore you when they see you
- They sometimes embarrass you

So as you can see, having a sibling on campus can be so cool, but it can also sometimes be not
so fun!

the characters had the same names as the characters in the movie. The good thing
is that the main character, Auggie, was the same in both!

In the movie, Wonder, there are tons of actors. Jacob Tremblay plays the main

the movie was better because it had a lot of detail. If you haven't read or seen it yet,
make sure you put Wonder on your must-list!

Greeninja Goes to School

Written by: Jacob Martinez

Imagine if a Greeninja from Pokemon came to Mary Buren Elementary

School! What if a third grader found him and said, “You need to go to
Kindergarten.” And the Greeninja replied, “Greeninja!” Not being able to
understand him, the third grader would lead the Greeninja to one of the
Kindergarten classes.

Mmmm....Tasty! But he didn’t want to stay in the class because he wanted to play on
Wordsearch the playground and ran back outside. The teacher would call Mr. Tino
to come and get him and try to take him to the office.
