Under the title, begin your introduction section. Do not create an “introduction” heading.

The fact that it is the introduction can be deduced by its location in the paper. Regular paragraphs

in this template are “APA body text” style.

INSTRUCTIONS: To use Dr. Steve’s APA template in Microsoft Word, select the styles

dialog (little arrow in lower right-hand corner) of the styles group in the home tab OR press

control-alt-shift-S. Select the appropriate style from the list. If you need one level of heading, use

APA level 1. If you need two levels, use APA level 1 and APA level 2, and so on.
